KRIS L. BARNUM, ATTORNEY AT LAW

Kris was born and raised in Northern California.  She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in 1984, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound, School of Law in 1987.  Immediately following law school, Ms. Barnum pursued a career as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). After a decade of Federal service, Kris re-entered private practice with Tueller & Associates, P.C. in Telluride, Colorado, a firm specializing in Real Estate, Corporate and Investment Law. During this time, Kris also owned and operated other small business ventures in Telluride.  Kris then began to concentrate her practice in Estate Planning with firms in Juneau, Alaska.  After nearly twenty-eight years in Juneau, Kris began dividing her time between Alaska and Montana and formed the Barnum Law Firm to provide legal services to clients in both locales. Kris is a member of the American Bar Association, Alaska Bar Association, Montana Bar Association and the Society of Former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kris is licensed in Alaska and Montana.

HEIDI N. McDANIEL, LEGAL ASSISTANT

Heidi was born and grew up in the Midwest, but found her peace in the mountains and on the water.  Heidi received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore in 1990, and shortly thereafter began a lengthy career in real estate with her own appraisal firm, specializing in resort and high wealth properties and clients.  After 17 years, Heidi made the switch to the legal arena, bringing her real estate and business knowledge to guide her as a legal assistant and office administrator.
